20 QUESTIONS WITH LANDO

Ahead of the British Grand Prix, we caught up with Lando to hear some of his day to day decisions as he is challenged to answer 20 random questions in one take...

What’s your go-to coffee order?

L: Cappuccino or Latte 

You can only choose one song to listen to before every race, what would it be?

L: Probably ‘Don’t Let Me Go’ by Machine Gun Kelly, right now. 

If you could invite anyone in the world to a dinner party, which three people would you choose and why?

L:  That’s tough. I’m going to throw it back and say James Hunt, (Leonardo) Dicaprio and the one and only Jeremy Clarkson.

Guilty pleasure treat?

L: If you know, you know. It’s either Stroopwaffles or Kinder Maxi 

What is your favourite time of day?

L: I love getting into bed so I’m either gonna say bedtime or it’s morning. You know a morning round of golf, waking up, you’re excited. 

Three things you can’t live without?

L: Headphones, Joggers and my Phone.

Window or aisle seat?

L: Window Seat. 

If you had to get a tattoo, where would it be?

L: I’m actually thinking of getting some you know! I had four lined up but I wasn’t allowed to get them in Montreal. I was going to get them on my hand but I got told, "don’t get them on your hand because they wear and spread". But I have four lined up or three… But I'm not going to tell you what they are.  

Best gift you’ve ever received?

L: It was probably getting my first go-kart because that’s pretty much how everything started and made me where I am today.

Best thing to happen to you today?

L: I got a new car.

Can you tell us what it is? 

L: That’s confidential and something I’m not going to share with you guys.

If you could switch lives with someone for a day, who would it be?

L: Who lives a very different life to me? Maybe a singer, popstar. Maybe a movie guy. Probably singer, I want to know what it’s like to go up on stage and have everyone sing your song. I think that’s pretty cool. 

What are you most looking forward to in life right now outside of racing?

L: We’re on a new journey with QUADRANT. We’re changing, we're evolving it. We are working hard to try and reimagine it so that’s something I'm enjoying and looking forward to.

Out of your car collection, what’s your favourite one?

L: Everyone knows me for my Fiat Jolly and that’s probably one of the cars that I enjoy driving the most, very summery car. But if I want to scare myself and have fun, probably my Cobra.

What is your favourite meal to cook?

L: I’ll keep it simple, I would say pasta or a pizza, I'm an Italian-flavoured-loving guy so pasta or pizza. 

When was the last time you searched yourself up online?

L: I haven’t.

Never?

L: Nope! If I have it’s on X because that’s where I get cancelled for things I get cancelled for. So if it is, it’s on that but at the minute I don’t have it on my phone, I deleted it for a little time. I still have my account but I'm just not using it currently. 

What’s your dream quadrant collab? 

L: Growing up, I've always loved Kith. Kith is something that I'd love to do in the future. Working with Ronnie, working with his team, that would be something I would love. Or whether it’s like full sports like AlpineStar, that kind of thing. Something we can do in the future. 

What’s your favourite quadrant apparel piece/collection we’ve done so far? 

L: Most memorable one is the very beginning where it all started, but you know, Clover Motors was one I loved. Its white tee is probably still one of my favourite pieces that we’ve done, so I’m going to say probably Clover Motors.
