WINNING IN AUGUST: QUADRANT ATHLETES

WINNING IN AUGUST: QUADRANT ATHLETES

QUADRANT Athletes dominate in August

Keegan Palmer wins in Paris to secure his second consecutive gold medal and retains his win in two Olympic games at the age of 21.

We caught up with Keegan before his Qualifiers to find out how he felt in preparation for the Olympics, (CHASING GOLD: OLYMPIC QUALIFIER), where he mentioned the pressure he felt to bring home the medal for the second time. The two-time Olympic champion  spoke about changing his diet, exercise routine and overall excitement to take part. We are proud of Keegan's success in this olympiad year and cannot wait to see him win many more competitions in the future!

Skateboarding was only introduced at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics which makes Keegan the only male park skateboarder in history to win all the olympic gold medals so far in the sport. His impressive first run was enough for him to secure first place with a score of 93.11 out of 100. His fierce competitors, who are also close friends, were unable to match his lead which resulted in the win.

In the world of QUADRANT Athletes, Iván recently had a birthday to remember—he celebrated with a Moto3 win at Silverstone where he took the lead on the final lap to secure his second win of the season. Over in Finland, Oliver did an incredible job in claiming the win with his co-driver, Elliot. The duo managed to walk away from the weekend with the FORUM8 Stage Win Award for the most stage wins in WRC2. Alongside Iván and Oliver, our very own Lotte Van Drunen secured the win at Race 1 and Race 2 at her home race in the Netherlands.

Clearly, the Netherlands is a special place for our QUADRANT Athletes with Lando winning his second ever Formula One race in his career.

Over this past weekend, we watched Lando sweep the table with a race win, pole position, fastest lap of the race and driver of the day. Crossing the line on Sunday, winning with a gap of 22.9 seconds, a massive statement to the hard work he has put in throughout the year and we can’t wait to see what he can do in the last 9 races…
