Introducing Quadrant™ athlete Oliver Solberg. Solberg is a World Rally Driver competing for Škoda Motorsport in WRC2. Hailing from Sweden, Oliver is a skilled driver, getting his start in motorsport racing crosskarts, winning his first race at just 8 years old. Leading him to winning the Norwegian Championship by 2012. Winning consecutive races after moving up to a higher category, by 2016, Oliver was on the lookout for something different. 

Being 15 years old and becoming a rally driver meant Oliver could only compete in the Latvian Rally Championship in 2017. The same year, Solberg raced in RallyX Nordic, rallycross; finishing second in the championship after achieving a podium and 2 wins. A year later Oliver went on to win the 2018 RallyX Nordic Championship alongside racing in the Latvian Rally Championship in his second season where he managed to finish second. 

On his way to joining Subaru Motorsports USA in 2019, Oliver took part in the Latvian/ Estonian/ Baltic Rally Championship in R5 machinery where he inevitably won the title. While competing in the Subaru Motorsports USA, Oliver managed to take home the victory in 3 out of 6 races. 

Becoming an WRC driver in the 2020 after impressing in his debut at the 2019 Wales Rally GB, Oliver acquired a campaign with SKODA Motorsport. Despite the pandemic putting a hold on the world, Oliver created the Solberg World Cup. 

Returning back to WRC after the pandemic, Oliver managed to complete his maiden win in WRC3. This incredible form led Solberg to win the 2020 FIA ERC1 Junior Championship title. From here, Oliver announced his new partnership, a 2-year deal with Hyundai Motorsport. Becoming a full-time WRC2 driver for the 2021 season. 

After being welcomed by Hyundai Motorsport as a third driver for the 2022 season, Oliver then joined WRC3 again in 2023 with the Toksport team where he was successful in winning just over half of the races throughout the season.

As we venture into 2024, Oliver will be racing with Škoda Motorsport in WRC2, and we can’t wait to follow his journey!
